New Lightning Lane Multi Pass will begin during our vacation stay

Genie+ has been Disney’s most current form of skip the line services. It was quite confusing until you got the swing of it, but it has been the only form that our family has ever used in Disney. However, all that will be changing starting July 24th and that just so happens to be during our July vacation in Disney World. The first part of the trip, we will be using Genie+ and then we will switch over to the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass for the second part of our trip. Currently, we do not think we will get the 7-day window on this trip, as the window will open prior to the launch of this new Lightning Lane Multi Pass system. It is our understanding that this will be the only week that will not have the 7-day window for resort guests and 3-day window for all other guests.

We are told by Disney that Lightning Lane passes will blend features from Genie+ and the previously offered FastPass+ service giving guests the choice to plan ahead and removing the hassle of planning during their vacation. We will be testing out this new system on day 1 and are looking forward to sharing our experience with you! We are excited for the perks this new system will bring!
