A 4-generation trip to Disney World! What was MAGIC and what was a MISS????
We recently got back from a 4-generation trip to Disney World; our party ranged in ages from 4-82 years old! From a private firework cruise, to staying at Disney’s flag-ship resort, we packed it all in and want to share it all with you…everything that was magic and everything that was a "miss”.
Staying at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa…MAGIC! Trying to resort hop during our 3-night trip stay, so that my grandma could stay at both the Grand Floridian and The Contemporary…MISS! It was a little much trying to switch resorts in such a short stay. Looking back, choosing one resort would have been the way to go.
Character Dining….MAGIC! Trying to fit in 3 character dining meals each day because I wanted my grandma to experience it all…MISS! It became on running joke on our trip, “oh my! We are eating AGAIN!” Some meals, we paid full price for but barely snacked because we were eating so often.
Experiencing 3 parks…MAGIC! Trying to park hop with the ages of our party…MISS! My grandma really wanted to take it slow and soak it all in. The pace that I thought was slow, turns out was not. And we had to hurry to the next park, because (as you just read above), I had another character dining booked for us! lol!
Private Firework Cruise…MAGIC! This was amazing and the most memorable part of the trip! Combining the firework cruise in the same day as a long park day…MISS! It didn’t ruin our experience by any means, but my grandma would have probably preferred to enjoy the resort that day and then the firework cruise at night.
Riding the Main Street Vehicle down Main Street…MAGIC! Riding in the horse drawn trolley down Main Street….EVEN MORE MAGICAL! This honestly was the most magical part of the entire trip. It was just us in the entire trolly. The crowds parted and everyone waved as we went by. Seeing my grandma get, what felt like her own Disney parade, and wave to the all the people, was my favorite part of the entire trip!
